MINISTRIES

The United Methodist Church of Bay Shore - Youth Ministry

The Youth Ministry provides for the needs of children and young people at our Church.

Camping and Scouting

Cradle Roll:

The Cradle Roll coordinator registers the baptisms and sends Birthday cards to all baptized babies for the first three years. After the third year he/she sends information to the parents about Sunday School enrollment.

Education Committee:

The Education committee working with the pastor is responsible for planning and implementing educational opportunities for the entire church. They are responsible for helping to organize and supervise the total program for nurturing faith, building Christian community and equipping people of all ages for ministry in daily life through small groups. They support and assist the Church School Superintendent and teachers, the youth leaders, and the pastor in providing vital learning experiences to the congregation.

Sunday School:

The Sunday School is organized and run by a staff of very dedicated volunteers.  They bring the ministry of God to all children from preschool through eighth grade every Sunday from 10:00 to 11:00 during the  school year.  The Sunday School teachers meet quarterly to plan and prepare lessons and future activities such as the Christmas pageant and mission projects.  Training sessions are also scheduled periodically throughout the year.  If you have a special talent or interest that you would like to share with the children or you just enjoy being part of the ministry that brings Christian education to the youth of our church, join us in this rewarding teaching experience.
