“We commit to the United Methodist tradition of involvement in and service to the world God has entrusted to us.”
The Outreach Ministry provides aid to all who are in need.
Dorcas Circle meet the 1st Monday of each month (unless it is a holiday, then the 2nd Monday) at 10 a.m. The group knits/crochets lap robes and afghans to give to hospitals, veteran organizations hospices, and church members in need. Yarn is supplied from dues as well as the Rada knife sales. All those interested are welcome.
The Missions committee is the vital connecting link between a needy world and our church. This group has accepted the challenge to support missions enthusiastically with their prayers, their concern, their time, their financial gifts and their service and to inspire an awareness of and educate our congregation about the mission outreach in our church. They develop a continuous, year-round program of mission education so that our congregation will be better informed, more knowledgeable, and more motivated to be supportive of the mission outreach of the church. They identify the needs of our community, our country, and the world and engage the congregation in mission opportunities and service projects that seek to address these needs. They seek to expand our congregation's mission and benevolence budget and ensure that our congregation is provided every opportunity to participate financially in God's mission through the church.
Soup Kitchen provides free nutritious hot meals to those in need. Full holiday dinners on Thanksgiving Day and at Christmastime.
Item and merchandise donations are welcome and tax deductible. Proceeds fund our 203-year tradition of service to the local community and beyond.
