Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I want to pass along some astounding news. A few months ago our Church applied for a Mission grant from the Long Island East District of the NY Annual Conference to help support our Early Childhood program.  We applied for $4,000 which is the maximum amount normally considered, but the Parish Development Committee was so impressed with our new ministry that they not only approved the grant application, they increased the award amount to $19,000.  This is a grant not a loan with no repayment required.  The funds will be disbursed to our Church in four installments at the end of March, June, September, and December 2013.

It has been a challenging year for our Church but I think this is yet another sign that we are on a good path serving God, our neighbors, and each other. Thanks be to God for this blessing and thanks to all who have served this new ministry and our Church with their time and talents and gifts and prayers.
