Order Your Christmas Poinsettas
By December 1
The beautiful Christmas Poinsettias, which decorate our sanctuary on Christmas Eve have a dual purpose: Not only do they symbolize the birth of Jesus; they also enable us to share this joyous spirit with the sick and shut-ins among our church family. If you would like to provide flowers for these purposes, please fill out the form (Link to the Order Form), print and give it to Flaye Stahl or leave it at the church office. You may also call the church office at 666-7194 to order your plant.
Church Christmas Card

Just submit your name, the way you want it to appear, AND RETURN THIS FORM NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 1. The cost is $3.00 Please print your name(s) exactly as you want them to appear. Greening The Sanctuary
Friday, December 6 | 6:00pm
Come join in the fun of decorating our sanctuary for the Christmas season. Decorating will begin on Friday
evening, December 6th at 6 PM. Come for an hour or stay as long as you can. Decorating usually takes
about two hours. EVERYONE is welcome, especially those who love to climb ladders. Maybe you don't
love climbing ladders. There are lots of on the ground jobs too, the creche, the tree, the pew candles and
wreaths on the doors. If you have a rechargeable screwdriver please charge it and bring it to help attach the
tall wooden candle holder posts to the ends of the pews. Refreshments will be served.
Thank you for helping, Worship Committee

Soup Kitchen Christmas Dinner
Thursday, December 19| 4:30pm
As in past years, we are expanding our Soup Kitchen into a full free Christmas Dinner on Thursday December 19th, serving a festive meal and following it up with a caroling singalong.
As always, we need your help to cook, serve, and provide good cheer. Remember that we do have a soup kitchen fund so cooks with tight budgets can turn in receipts and we will gladly reimburse you for materials purchased.
The schedule for this year will be:
DROPOFF 2:00pm - 3:00pm. Those who are cooking but not serving can deliver food at this time.
SETUP 3:00 - 4:30pm.

CLEANUP 5:45pm until done.
I hope you will join me in worshiping God not just with our words but with our deeds in this holy season. Please sign up to cook and/or serve by signing up in Fellowship Hall or contacting me via email.

Two turkeys, 15 pounds or more each,

Half pan green bean casserole,
Half pan shells / ziti / etc.,

Christmas Caroling
Sunday, December 22 | after Worship Service
The Church Band and carolers will be singing and playing on Sunday afternoon December 22nd. We will be visiting homebound Church members and nursing homes. This is a wonderful and spiritually uplifting experience for all who attend.
We will gather in Fellowship Hall after Service to assemble lyric booklets, pass out maps, set up the car pools, and warm up on a few tunes. Pizza will be provided, after we munch we'll drive around to several performance locations, then return about 4:00pm.
If you have to come late or leave early that's fine. Most of our locations are indoors so caroling will be rain or shine. For more information or to play in the band please contact me via email to twilson@brightwaters.com or phone 516-662-3528.
